Historical re-enactments, pioneer demonstrations, crafts, music, food,
and family fun along the beautiful Maumee River

Take a step back in time when you walk in the Grand Rapids Village Park. See apple butter being made and even help stir a kettle as you're sipping on some free apple cider. While in the Town Park, you will be charmed as you listen to the hammer dulcimer, guitar, and banjo of the Wes Linenkugel Band. Stroll around the park and visit the demonstrators that help bring yesteryear alive. From blacksmithing to lace making, candle dipping to chair caning, you are sure to find something to piqué your interest. Maybe a story told by Johnny Appleseed himself or Tim Kreps, a historian who brings the past alive as pioneer explorer in the time of Lewis and Clark. Still don’t have you hooked? How about demonstrators with old flint knapping tools, axes over the ages, or taxidermy? Join us in the Town Park for hands-on fun—hope to see you there!
