100% of the Historical Society of Grand Rapids Ohio's members and friends, who work on the various committees for months leading up to the Fest and on the Fest weekend from setup to clean up, are volunteers and receive NO compensation.  We are so very grateful to these individuals, who give generously of their time and talents and demonstrate their love of our community and the Applebutter Fest through these efforts.  If you have never volunteered at the Fest, you cannot begin to imagine just how much work goes into the planning and execution of this event!

It takes not only people, but significant funds to provide the Applebutter Fest experience for our visitors to Grand Rapids.

Our primary sources of revenue are:
  • Parking (per vehicle fee paid by visitors)
  • Historical Society of Grand Rapids Ohio (Apple Butter Sales, Brats Food Booth, Crafts on Front Street, Donations from members)
  • Sponsors

The Applebutter Fest newspaper is fully funded by the advertisers, primarily local businesses.

We are most appreciative of those, who provide financial support to the Fest.
